Description

Renal cell cancer (RCC), of which clear cell RCC is the most common type, accounts for ~2% of cancers. Its incidence appears to be rising and with its poor overall survival rate, it likely represents the deadliest urological neoplasm. The majority of cases are sporadic, but several familial and inherited cases have been reported.
