Status:
This term is obsolete. We suggest searching for the text of the ontology term or for a keyword rather than searching for the ontology ID. For more information, please contact us.
Definition:OBSOLETE. Any process that stops, prevents, or reduces the frequency, rate or extent of the chemical reactions and pathways resulting in the breakdown of GTP, guanosine triphosphate.
Comment:The reason for making this term obsolete is that it gets misused in cases where phosphates are simply being removed from a small molecule. We found no cases where these molecules genuinely underwent catabolism.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: negative regulation of GTP breakdown;   negative regulation of GTP catabolism;   negative regulation of GTP degradation
