The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. A calculated measurement of the maximum amount of energy the tibia, the medial and larger of the two bones of the lower leg of bipeds or hindlimb of quadrupeds which articulates with the femur, fibula, and talus, can absorb under stress before it breaks, derived as the area under the stress-strain or load-displacement curve at the point of failure. Bone is the hard, rigid form of connective tissue constituting most of the skeleton of vertebrates and composed chiefly of calcium salts.
