Virtual Comparative Mapping Help

The Virtual Comparative Map (VCMap) tool was developed to explore these syntenic relationships between Rat, Mouse and Human. VCMap enables investigators to link the physiology of rat with the genetics of mouse and the clinical significance of the human. Click for VCMap Overview.

  Using VCMap:

  View Dynamic Maps

View Dynamic Maps (MapView):
View dynamic maps and obtain comparative data. Generate your own comparative maps using virtual, RH and genetic map options available for rat, mouse and human. Visualize your results using interactive Java interface.

  Search VCMap

Query VCMap:
Search VCMap data by marker or chromosomal region. Get expanded marker lists. Navigate through the page to get dynamic (MapView) display of the region where your marker is mapped in the genome.
